Barry Friedberg is Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of New York Private Bank & Trust and Chairman of the Finance & Strategic Planning Committee as well as a member of the Compliance and Governance Committee of the Board. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Nicklaus Companies.
Prior to 2003, Mr. Friedberg had been an Executive Vice President of Merrill Lynch and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. From 1985-1993, he was responsible for the management of the firm’s Global Investment Banking Group.
Mr. Friedberg is also a member of the Boards of Directors and the Executive Committees of New York City Ballet (Chairman of the Board 2003-2008), SCAN Harbor, and The Glaucoma Foundation. He served on the Board of Directors of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts 2003-2008. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Mr. Friedberg graduated from Princeton University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1962.
